These high-performance refill sponges are specially developed for the GSW Wet Palette XL and maintain an even moisture level during long painting sessions. Thanks to their thick, hydrophilic structure, they can store large amounts of water and slowly release moisture to the palette paper, helping acrylic paints stay fresh for longer.
Hydro Foams XL are also treated with Sanitized, which helps counteract mold and impurities and extends the sponges' lifespan under normal use.
High Water Retention and Long Lifespan
The hydrophilic foam construction is designed to absorb large amounts of water and then release it evenly across the entire palette. The material also helps prevent the sponge from shrinking or becoming uneven as it dries.
The Sanitized treatment helps reduce the risk of mold and bacterial growth. Its effect decreases over time depending on use, water changes, and temperature, but with proper care, the sponges can be used for a long time.
